Fusion and the covenant

Long time fascination,
early workings of universe
was gravity first?
Often I fell asleep
reviewing
all I knew of gravity
creation of space--
holding together matter,
all that would potentially exist.
Then quivering strings
light, energy,
scintillating-
form
quarks & gluons
becoming protons, neutrons.
Nuclei
attracted,
orbiting electrons
The first atoms
Hydrogen
then--
in heat beyond measure
tritium, deuterium
slam together!
Bursting light!
Fusion
transforming to helium
releasing neutrons,
photons
neutrinos…
effulgent light.
Stellar nucleosynthesis
I saw fusion’s flashing
notes of colors
images across the keyboard,
Earth.
mineral to human
cascading life forms
Fusion changed
became
cross pollination
the pairing
of male and female
My vision paused--
the gem like soul,
not composed of elements--
a mystery,
My arms stretched out
measuring the eons
atomic formation
to arrival of the soul.
And the soul,
animates the body
with unknown force
illuminating the physical.
Directives of the Omnipotent

hold sustain
the soul

The heat of attraction..
Embracing the Covenant
the soul
surrenders
merges its will
in the Will of God
Hydrogen to helium
has no choice
Laws of physics
prevail.
Souls are given
free will – to choose
Accepting the Covenant,
Ancient,
Eternal.
The soul now in alignment--
an incandescent star.
